Pending funding approval, the Department of Teacher Education at Niagara University is seeking a full-time, tenure-track faculty member in the field of special education. Interested applicants should have completed a doctorate in special education by August 15, 2010, have P-12 and higher education classroom experience, and show potential for scholarship and collegial collaboration. Additional desired qualifications include knowledge of New York State Standards and Regulations, experience in high-need or urban settings, experience in grades 5-12 schools and classrooms, and knowledge of issues related to transition and assistive/adaptive technology.
