Our upcoming meeting will be a work session to begin and/or continue our work on the following activities:
1. Regional Higher Education Leadership Summit on Inclusive Elementary Teacher Preparation
We plan to invite leaders from higher education institutions (deans, chairs, coordinators, field placement directors) to a round table discussion regarding ways to best prepare teachers for inclusive education. The Summit will be held at Lemoyne College in the Spring 2010.
Being held at Roberts Wesleyan College. Parking is not a problem.
The lot right behind Rinker (Lots C and F) is relatively easy parking.

The Spring Statewide Meeting of the Task Force for Quality Inclusive Schooling is scheduled for Friday, March 26th, 2010 at the Crown Plaza in Albany, NY. The meeting promises to be energizing and informative. An agenda will be forthcoming in a few weeks.

Attached is a call for proposals for next October's combined NYSATE/NYACTE - Task Force Conference at the Gideon Putnam in Saratoga Springs, NY.
As Kate DaBoll-LaVoie and I described at the Statewide Meeting on March 26th, for this coming fall's Statewide Meeting, the TF has combined with NYSATE/NYACTE to offer a somewhat different venue for its work. As such, our support of our membership for the event will reflect a different structure. HESC will pay for members' registrations for the conference ($185).

People should park in the Center for Tomorrow lot (#53 on map) (Flint road) and take the Green line shuttle to Capen Hall. They should get off at Capen, go to their right. They can walk through O'Brien (#12 on map) by taking the elevator to the 5th floor or they can walk to Baldy (the buildings are connected)
The shuttle runs every 10 minutes or so and is free. You do not need a permit to park in the Center for Tomorrow lot.
