Lisa Luderman from SED will join us to provide technical assistance regarding the SWD 7-12 Generalist and subject area extensions and to have a conversation about revising currently existing programs into ones that will lead to the SWD 7-12 Generalist certification.
All are welcome!
The discussion will be rich with a variety of stakeholder views about how to best prepare future educators to teach adolescents with disabilities.
Attached is a call for proposals for next October's combined NYSATE/NYACTE - Task Force Conference at the Gideon Putnam in Saratoga Springs, NY.
As Kate DaBoll-LaVoie and I described at the Statewide Meeting on March 26th, for this coming fall's Statewide Meeting, the TF has combined with NYSATE/NYACTE to offer a somewhat different venue for its work. As such, our support of our membership for the event will reflect a different structure. HESC will pay for members' registrations for the conference ($185).
Meeting will be held in Lally School of Education Room 147.
Members are asked to bring announcements about upcoming events and PD opportunities being sponsored/conducted by their organization or institution.
